FOB price does not include shipping outside Japan or shipping insurance. FOB price includes product price, domestic transportation and custom clearance in Japan.

CIF price means the cost until the final destination port, in prior to the custom clearance condition. ASAWA KOUEKI will make sure that the product gets shipped from Japan to you designated port of destination. The shipper assigned by ASAWA KOUEKI will provide you with all standard documents, necessary to release the product from your port.

Domestic Selling Price includes product price, consumption tax, recycle fee, domestic transportation until the delivery destination mentioned in the invoice & does not include “shaken(車検証) cost

Some countries require your car to be inspected before exporting.

When a car passes the inspection, a valid certificate will be issued with full details of chassis number, make, model.

Please consult with us whether your arrival destination will require this inspection.

An invoice is a payment request from us to you, for a certain product. The Invoice we issue is a very powerful document, because it reserves the related product for you, as long as you meet the payment deadlines. An Invoice issued by us to you for a certain product will mean that, you have the “Exclusive Right” to purchase that product as long as your payment can be confirmed by us, within the deadline.

Consignee is the details of the next owner of the car.

Details of Consignee must be precise because they will be reflected on the Bill of Lading. Any mistakes might result in the failure to clear the car from port.

Notify Party is the details of the party that involves in clearing the car from port.

It can be the same as Consignee; or it can be the details of a C&F agent that helps you clear the car from port.

When you pay for a product with invoice issued by us, your bank will provide you a receipt of payment. It is called T/T copy. T/T Copy is a short form of Telegraphic Transfer Copy, which is the payment receipt from your bank. You have to share a T/T copy within 48 hours, since the invoice was issued.

When we receive your money for a product, we will send you an email with payment confirmation with related product details. This email is called “payment confirmation” email.

When you have successfully paid for a product and we have already shipped the product to your indicated destination, we will send you an email with product and shipment details. This email is called a “Shipment Confirmation” email.

ETD means “Estimated Time of Departure”

ETA means “Estimated Time of Arrival”

Export Certificate is a document that certifies the product is being legally exported from its country of origin. This also means it has been de-registered from its previous owner in Japan.

Bill of Lading (BL) is a document issued by the shipping company, which certifies that the product has been shipped out and mentions product description & recipient.

Each shipment usually takes from 4-5 weeks on average. However, in some cases in which the shipment of product is fast or the ETD is close to the ETA date, ASAWA KOUEKI will surrender BL.

In this case, NO original BL will be sent via post.

Instead, a digital version of Surrender BL will be shared with you via email.

With this digital copy of Surrender BL, you can print it out and use it to clear your product from the port.

This is the address that ASAWA KOUEKI uses to send all the necessary documents to you.

We will send via DHL or EMS with tracking number for you to follow its route.

The address must be precise or else it may result in the loss of documents, which will make it difficult for you to receive the car.

Clearing agent is a person or company that can handle the customs clearing procedures at the port for you.

Forwarding agent is a person or company that can handle the transportation of the product from port of discharge to the buyer's destination country.
